About the project
This exciting project is located in the heart of Alexandra Headland, a beautiful suburb on the Sunshine Coast. As part of this journey, Joel and Bianca say goodbye to their home and beloved Queenslander to develop stage one, a three-storey duplex with a rooftop and sweeping ocean views, to make way for stage two, building their dream home.
To bring the stage one project to life, Joel and Bianca have teamed up with their industry partners to deliver a 7 part mini-series of the entire build, providing an entertaining and authentic behind-the-scenes experience of what it’s like to build a home! It’s not always easy, but ultimately, the result is worth it!

The Mini Series
Episode 1
Overview of the project and securing finance for developing the site.
Episode 2
Selecting the builder, dealing with two major setbacks, and getting the slab down.
Episode 3
We reach a major milestone, the lock-up stage! Plus, Joel shaves his dreadlocks off whilst raising funds for charity.
Episode 4
The construction site is being transformed into a beach house, and the ground floor is revealed.
Episode 5
We reveal the completed master and spare bedrooms on the second level.
Episode 6
We showcase the third floor of the Beach House duplex, featuring a kitchen, dining, lounge and main bathroom.
Episode 7
With everything wrapped up inside, we finalise the landscaping and install the solar system.
